If you change the WiFi network connection or simply try placing it to another place your Echo device will not work. You need to go through below mentioned process to connect Echo with WiFi network.

Step #1: First of all, you need to download and install Amazon Alexa app on your phone or tablet device

Step #2: Tap on devices from the bottom right corner.

Step #3: Now, from the top right corner choose Echo & Alexa and then select the Alexa device you want to connect with WiFi.

If you are unable to find your device then go back to the device screen and select all the devices.Still, if you don’t find it then you need to reset the device. To reset it follow the steps provided here.

Step #4: Next, tap on status to check which device you are connected to.

Step #5: Tap on Change located next to the WiFi network under Wireless label.

Step #6: Up next, follow the onscreen steps i.e is Press and hold the action button on your Alexa device for approximately 15 seconds.

Tap on continue, when the light turns orange and start spinning on the echo device. Once it is in setup mode. On top of that, Alexa will also say  “Now in setup mode. Follow the instructions in your Alexa app.”

Step #7: Choose Amazon Alexa device from the list and select the WiFi network. If your WiFi is not showing in the list then tap on rescan network.

Step #8: Once you find your prefered WiFi network in the list, enter the WiFi password and tap on connect.

Step #9: At last, Wait for your Amazon device to connect. It may take a few minutes. Once it is connected, your Alexa device will let you know.

If you are unable to use a mobile app somehow to connect Alexa to the Internet, then you also connect it with WiFi using a browser. To do so you need to follow below mentioned steps:

How to Connect Amazon Alexa to WiFi Without Using Alexa App

Step #1: Head over to alexa.amazon.com and sign in. If you don’t have an account then create a new one first. 

Step #2: Once you login into your account, click on Settings -> Setup a new device and choose the device.

Step #3: Now, keep the device in pairing mode and connect the device to prefered WiFi network and enter the password.

Step #4: Next, tap on continue and connect the Alexa device to the power source.

Step #5: Up Next, set up your Echo device to press and hold the action button for six seconds. Then wait for the ring light to turn orange and tap on continue.

Step #6: Connect to the network with the format Amazon-XXX.

Step #7: Once you are connected, you will get a window with a message saying “Your computer is connected” to your Alexa device.

Step #8: Tap on Continue and then choose WiFi network to connect to the Alexa device.

Step #9: Enter your WiFi password and click on connect.

Step #10: Wait for your Alexa device to connect to the internet. Once connected you can test asking some question to Alexa “Hey Alexa, how’s the weather today?”
