Step #1:First of all, Launch the Alexa App on your iOS or Android Phone.

Step #2:Now, tap on the hamburger icon. 

Step #3:Next, tap on the smart home.

Step #4:After that, Tap on Add Device.

Step #5:Wait for a few seconds as Amazon Alexa is discovering your devices.

Step #6:Go down and search the list of devices Alexa discovered.

Step #7:Find the name of the smart light bulb you have entered in the list and tap on it.

Now, all you need to do is give Alexa commands using the bulb name to turn on/off light bulbs:

  • “Alexa, turn off the kitchen light.”
  • “Alexa, turn my hall light green.”
  • “Alexa, dim the bedroom light.”

How to Get Alexa To Turn ON/OFF Multiple Lights at Once By Creating A Group

Follow this guide to create and Setup Alexa Light Group.

Step #1: Go to your Alexa app on your device.

Step #2: Tap on the devices

Step #3: Tap on the “+” Symbol from the top right corner.

Step #4: Tap on Add Group option.

Step #5: Choose the group name for your smart bulbs or create one from the custom name field.

Step #6: Tap on next and define the group by choosing the lights you want to be in this group.

Step #7: Tap on Save.

That’s it!. This group will be visible as a tile in the devices tab on the Alexa app. Simply give the command to Alexa to turn ON/OFF the group name to turn on/off all the lights you have chosen in the group.

How to Get Alexa To Turn ON Multiple Lights on a Schedule

This guide will make your life easier as you won’t have to give Alexa any command. All you need to do is just set a schedule for turning on Alexa supported light bulbs.

To do so, simply go ahead and follow below-mentioned steps to create a routine.

Step #1: Open Alexa App and then tap on the three lines.

Step #2: Select the Routine from the menu and then tap on “+”.

Step #3: Tap on Schedule and then tap on Select located next to At time.

Step #4: Select the time when you want to turn on the lights.

Step #5: If you want to schedule it for certain days, tap on Select located next to the Repeat option to confirm it.

Step #6: Select the days you want to repeat the same schedule.

Step #7: Once your schedule is set, tap on Next.

Step #8: Tap on “+” next to Add action from the New Routine page.

Step #9: Tap on Smart Home from the pop-up menu and then choose the control group you want to control.

Step #10:  A new tab will come up with a Power slider button. Make sure the slider is set to On and then tap on Next.

Step #11: At last, tap on Save. 

From now onwards, you won’t have to give voice commands. It will automatically turn on the lights based on the schedule we have set.
